I hope your week has been treating you well! Mine has had a really fun bright spot in it because I'm learning colorwork and flat knitting so I can make a vest.

My local yarn shop does regular knit-a-longs so we can try new techniques together, and I'll be honest, I skipped the sock class. I didn't think I was going to be good at it with those tiny needles and I chose to guard my heart. So when the vest came up, I felt like I needed to show up and redeem myself a little. Ha!

What I didn't expect was how much I'd love starting over as a beginner at something I already know how to do. There's something really freeing about saying "I don't know what to do" and just enjoying the process of figuring it out, stitch by stitch.

Anyway, now that I'm coming up for air from my yarn, it got me thinking about the climb we're all on in our businesses. Not the destination, the climb. Because honestly? The climb is where all the juicy stuff lives.

Here are a few of my favorite moments from mine:

My very first niche after coaching school was internal corporate coaching. It made logical sense on paper, but I was sitting inside the very corporate culture I desperately wanted to leave. Helping people thrive in an environment I found suffocating felt phony to me, and I knew I had to make a change, even though switching so quickly felt very ADHD of me. It was still the right call.

Then I thought transitions coaching was my thing. As an IBM kid who has moved and adapted more times than I can count, I genuinely excel at change. But something still wasn't clicking the way I needed it to.

And then came the experience that changed everything. I helped a client who was writing a book go from zero online presence to a thriving Facebook community, a real website, and an engaged email list. And I remember thinking... wait. This was fun. Like, really fun. And that's when I realized that tech work wasn't just something I was good at, it was something people truly needed help with and were willing to invest in.

That moment is what led me here, to you, to Tech Savvy Coach.
